New Palboard™ – A Different Breed of PVC
If you distribute substrates for industrial or sign & graphics applications, you’re probably familiar with aluminum composite materials or paper-based multi-layer products. And you’ve likely seen multi-color foam PVC panels. But PALBOARD is a breed apart, and it has some of Palram’s best genes in its DNA. It’s the only product available with tough solid white PVC outer skins—something that Palram has produced since 1963—and a lightweight black foam PVC core (made from recycled PVC no less).
New PALBOARD allows for design options that simply aren’t possible with other multi-layer substrates. PALBOARD offers more rigidity per millimeter thickness than paper-based products, and it doesn’t suffer when exposed to water or spray cleaners. And PALBOARD is lighter-weight than aluminum composite materials and significantly easier to cut, fabricate, v-groove and cold-bend. This opens new doors for designers and fabricators who want a substrate that’s in between the current paper-based and aluminum options, yet spans further across the spectrum on either side.

Sign & Display makers LOVE PALBOARD! In fact, we had major OEM’s like Canon, Zünd, EFI, Mimake, Mutoh and others test and trial PALBOARD and it received rave reviews. It has an ultra-smooth surface that prints beautifully with excellent ink adhesion. Easy v-grooving and cold bending allow for innovative shapes and displays. We also had some sign & display makers trial the product and got tremendous feedback. PALBOARD was the highlight of the recent SGIA Expo for Palram.
